Senegalese President Macky Sall and Guinea Conakry junta leader Mamady Doumbouya have banned their ministers from travelling overseas.

The ministers were asked to confine themselves to their countries.

In the case of Senegal, ambassadors have been assigned to attend meetings that the ministers are supposed to attend, a Senegalese daily Observateur reported on Tuesday.

The report says the measure has been taken to cut down financial expenditures on travels in order to save money for government.

In the same vein, Guinea Conakry junta head Colonel Mamady Doumbouya ordered with immediate effect travel ban on ministers and asked them to surrender their passports.
