The 16 candidates in Senegal united within the front for the presidential election of February 25 do not intend to go to the dialogue which will start today.

They made the announcement on Friday.

On Thursday, President Macky Sall faced the press. He raised the question of the date of the presidential election which will be fixed following a dialogue which will begin today.

But, the Front of candidates for the presidential election of February 25 does not intend to go to the consultation table.

"We will not participate in the consultation he is calling for. We will not send anyone to it and we will not be at the consultation table," said Aliou Mamdou Dia, candidate of Pur, during the said press conference.

The candidate declares that what they expect from President Sall is that he materialises the decision of the constitutional council. "In recital 14, the council was clear. The president must organise elections at the end of his mandate," he specifies.
