Retired Lt Colonel Lie Conteh appointed consul general to Jeddah

A retiredand well experienced soldier, Lie Conteh joined the army from 1983 to 1997 and rose through the ranks of Lt Colonel before he retired.

He also served as ADC to late Sir Dawda Jawara, the first president of The Gambia.

Lie Conteh was mayor of KMC 1997 to 2005.
