Public Holiday Declared for Mayoral and Chairperson Elections

His Excellency Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia, has approved the Independent Electoral Commission’s request to declare Saturday, 20 May 2023, as a Public Holiday throughout the country for the upcoming Mayoral and Chairperson Elections.

The approval was granted to allow all registered voters to vote in their respective wards.

President Barrow urges the citizens to maintain peace and order throughout the election period.
