Police question Central Bank officials over intercepted US$57,800, D370,000

Following the interception of an alleged Central Bank employee at the Jenoi checkpoint on January 24, 2025, carrying $57,800 and D370,000 in cash, The Gambia Police Force has invited some Central Bank officials to assist with the ongoing investigation.

The Gambia Police Force assures the public that this matter is being handled with the utmost diligence and transparency. Further updates will be shared as the investigation unfolds.
