At least one Senegalese soldier has been reported dead amid clashes with the MFC rebels in Cassamance borders, Southern Senegal, near The Gambia, TFM reports.
Four other soldiers have been wounded.
Senegal since last year has been launching military operations against southern Cassamance rebels.
The Point yesterday reported that three schools in the Foni were closed on Monday amid reports of “heavy gunshots” around Cassamance.
