Mai Ahmed Fatty joins NPP

Ahead of the much anticipated 2026 presidential election, Mai Ahmed Fatty, the leader and Secretary General of the Gambia Moral Congress (GMC) has joined the ruling National People's Party (NPP) grand coalition.

The move, according to them is aimed at solidifying the ruling party ahead of the crucial 2026 presidential election.

Mai Ahmed Fatty of the GMC who was one time interior Minister has vowed to work with other coalition partners in ensuring that Barrow win the forthcoming election.

The NPP party executive welcomed the GMC leaders and their supporters, describing the move as key ahead of the presidential election.
