Funded with council’s local taxes, the project is expected to construct 15.4 kilometers (km) of tarred roads and 5.9 km of drains around the Kanifing Municipality.
The project, which is expected to start in May will consist of 11 strategic roads, two bridges and Bakau Town’s entire drain network which will be constructed over a 3-year period.
The mayor of Kanifing Municipality (KM), Talib Ahmed Bensouda, applauded councillors, CEO, directors and Contracts and Development committee. “We would also like to thank NRA, NEA, NDMA, GPPA, Ministry of Works for the technical support!” he added.
