Japanese Ambassador honours Bintou Kujabi Jallow

The ambassador of Japan to the Republic of The Gambia, IZAWA Osamu, has decided to honour Mrs. Bintou Kujabi Jallow, Honorary Consul

General of the Republic of The Gambia in Nagoya with a Certificate of Commendation.

This Certificate is awarded in recognition and with deep appreciation of her tireless efforts to enhance friendship, solidarity, mutual understanding and cooperation between Japan and The Gambia.

Since her appointment to this position in June 2019, Mrs. Jallow has made commendable efforts not only to enhance the existing diplomatic

and cooperation relations between the two countries but also encouraged Japanese private sector to come and invest in The Gambia.

She has a wide understanding of Japanese culture including Japanese language, Japan’s business environment and work ethic. She is very

committed to sharing her experience both with the Japanese private sector and NGOs and The Gambia’s public and private sector, to build

strong partnerships.

At the same time, she is an outstanding ambassador of The Gambian culture in all its aspects in Japan. Her initiatives to promote The

Gambia’s attractiveness as an investment destination are commendable.

This Certificate is awarded to her in recognition of her talents and dedication to a stronger partnership between Japan and The Gambia.

The Embassy of Japan in The Gambia also conveys wishes for continued good health, peace, happiness, and further professional success.

The Certificate was conferred on April 22nd, 2024, by the Director-General of the African Affairs Department HORIUCHI Toshihiko, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
