‘Integrity essential to maintaining public trust’

Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) commenced a three-day sensitisation training on the issues of staff Integrity and Customer Care organised by the Internal Affairs Unit under the Office of the Commissioner General on July 8, 2024.

The opening of this significant training session was graced by the Commissioner General, Mr. Yankuba Darboe, who emphasised the importance of taking the training seriously. He highlighted that integrity is a cornerstone of their operations and essential to maintaining public trust.

Mr. Darboe also underscored the vital role of the Internal Affairs Unit, which was established following recommendations from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). “This unit is crucial in ensuring our practices align with international standards and promote transparency and accountability within the GRA.”

Mr. Darboe further encouraged all participants to fully engage in the training and apply the knowledge gained to uphold the highest standards of integrity in their professional duties.
