There are many positive changes in the housing construction sector in Baku, Hamat Bah, The Gambia's Minister of Lands, Regional Government and Religious Affairs, told Report on the sidelines of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.

"I saw many positive changes in the field of housing construction. Many new buildings have been constructed, allowing Azerbaijani residents to own their own apartments," the minister said.

According to him, holding the international forum in Baku is an important decision, as other countries can study Azerbaijan's experience in urban planning and housing policy.

Hamat Bah also praised the high level of organisation of international events in Azerbaijan. He recalled that he visited the country in 2017 and at that time also he observed the dynamic development of the capital.

"Azerbaijan has always been a very strong country and organizes such events extremely efficiently," he added.

The minister noted that the current forum is a continuation of discussions launched at the conference held in Cairo two years ago, as well as at a recent meeting in Nairobi.

According to him, the participants intend to consolidate previously adopted decisions and develop joint mechanisms for their future implementation. (Source: Report)
