We wish to state clearly for the records that the union is not associated or affiliated with any political party.
The union remains apolitical as envisaged by article 15(a) of our constitution which reads as follows:
“Discussions of Political, Ethnical, Religious and other matters unrelated to the aims of the Union will not be tolerated during Union's General meetings or any other union meetings or activities.
The public is further assured that the Union will remain committed to its aims and objectives while observing absolute political neutrality.
Service to the people of The Gambia and protecting the welfare and interest of our members remain part of our core values.”
