Fm Tangara receives credentials of five new ambassadors

On Monday, 9th October 2023, the Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad Dr. Mamadou Tangara, received copies of Letters of Credence of five (5) new Envoys from Portugal, Finland, Poland, Romania, and Ghana at a brief ceremony held at the Foreign Ministry complex in Banjul.

Foreign Minister Tangara congratulated the new envoys on their appointment and expressed the Government of The Gambia’s readiness to cooperate with their respective countries in the areas of mutual interest.

On their part, the new envoys reassured the Foreign Minister of their preparedness to further deepen the already existing cordial relations between their respective countries and The Gambia at the bilateral and multilateral levels .

The new envoys are the Ambassador of Republic of Portugal, H.E. Mrs. Florbela Alhinho Paraiba, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland, H.E. Ms. Anu Saxen, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, H.E. Mr. Bartlomiej Zdaniuk, Ambassador of the Republic of Romania, H.E. Mr. Nicolae Nastase, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Mrs. Emma Henewah Mensah.
