Fajara Golf Club hosts successful Caddy Tourney in honour of Hon. Seedy M. Lette

In a heartwarming display of unity and celebration, the Fajara Golf Club successfully hosted a special caddy tournament on Friday, December 20, 2024, in memory of the late Hon. Seedy M. Lette. The event, held to mark the one-year charity of the revered leader, was a resounding success, bringing together golf enthusiasts, community members, and supporters from across The Gambia.

The tournament paid tribute to Hon. Seedy’s remarkable legacy as a community builder and a champion of inclusivity. His passion for uniting people through sport was at the heart of the event, which saw enthusiastic participation from both seasoned golfers and the club’s dedicated caddies.

The day was filled with exciting rounds of golf, camaraderie, and moments of reflection. Special prizes were awarded to outstanding players, with a particular focus on celebrating the contributions of the caddies, whose dedication often goes unrecognised. The organisers – including Mr Mo Samba, Mr Amadou Gallo-Faal, Commission of Basketball Africa League – expressed gratitude to the management of Fajara Golf Club for their cooperation and support. Particular thanks were extended to Mr. Dodou Mbye, Chairman of the Club, Ms. Oli Taal, Club Manager, Mr John Kip, Golf Committee Member, and Mr Dam Ahmadu Nyang, Caddy Nyang, for their commitment to ensuring the event’s success.

Tributes also poured in from close friends and senior members of the late Hon. Seedy, including Alhagie Arse John, Hajaratou Ndey Lette, and Hajaratou Haddy Lette.
