The ECOWAS Commission President emphasised the need for peace in The Gambia and in all ECOWAS Member States, citing it as a recipe for regional stability and economic integration.
His Excellency President Adama Barrow presided over the opening of the donor roundtable, in which he affirmed his government’s strong drive and will to implement the TRRC recommendations and in particular the reparation process. The European Union (EU) is committed to a nine-million-Dollar project towards the implementation process, to be executed by UNDP and Gambia Government.
H.E. Adama Barrow was joined at the event by the President of the ECOWAS Commission, H.E. Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, and other members of the Gambian Government - ministers and senior officials – and development partners in The Gambia.
