According to the report from September 5th to 11th, 2025, they conducted a series of operations that led to the arrest of 27 suspects, comprising 25 Gambians and 2 Senegalese nationals. The arrestees were involved in various drug-related offenses, including possession and trafficking of prohibited substances.
DLEAG seized significant quantities of drugs, including: 143 bundles, 15 parcels, 106 wraps, and some quantities of cannabis sativa, - 1 cannabis plant, - 2 wraps and 6 pieces of cannabis resin (hashish), 11 medical plastic bags of skunk cannabis, 33 wraps and some quantities of kush, 321 tablets of ecstasy, 7 wraps of cocaine and 18 stones of crack cocaine.
Four alleged child offenders (ACOs) were among those arrested, with ages ranging from 13 to 17 years old. The ACOs were found in possession of various quantities of cannabis sativa, with one 13-year-old found with 13 wraps and a 16-year-old with 10 wraps.
DLEAG filed six new drug-related cases during the reporting period, with five relating to possession and one to trafficking. The agency successfully prosecuted and secured convictions in eight cases, with five being possession matters and three being trafficking cases.
The Agency continues its efforts in drug demand reduction through radio talk shows on various stations, including GRTS radio, Islamic Al-Falaq, and Paradise Farafenni FM radio station.
