Covid-19: Gambia registers 5 new cases

The Gambia has registered 5 new positive coronavirus cases, taking the total of COVID-19 cases ever confirmed in the country to 3,665.

This is according to the country’s Ministry of Health 180th national situation report since the confirmation of the first case of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in The Gambia, on the 16th March 2020.

No new COVID-19 related death was recorded and no new patient recovered within the last 24 hours.

No new person has been taken into quarantine, and no new person was discharged either.

The country currently has 4 people in quarantine, 886 active cases and a crude case-fatality ratio of 3.2%.

Meanwhile, the Senegalese Ministry of Health yesterday reported 6 positive cases, bringing its total number to 15, 571 cases, with 14, 437 recoveries, 322 deaths and 811 under treatment.
