Senegalese court discharges Sulayman Trawally

A court in Tambacounda, eastern province of Senegal has discharged Sulayman Trawally, a Gambian national, who was allegedly kidnapped by Senegalese gendarme last month.
The case was mentioned at the Kanifing Magistrate’s Court presided over by Magistrate Mben Faal yesterday.
The case could not proceed because the accused was absent as she is serving her jail term at the Mile 2 Central Prisons.
Prosecutors adduced that Ngum, by false pretence induced one Goro Beye to deliver to her the sum of D3,000,000 with the pretext that she was going to secure him a piece of land situated at Bijilo, measuring 30mx40 42m, however, police prosecutor, Inspector Inna Jallow filed an application for the court to make an order to the Director General of Prison to bring the accused on the next adjournment day.
