President Barrow has assured NPP supporters that the 2026 campaign will be fully resourced, with adequate vehicles, T-shirts, ashobis, and all necessary campaign paraphernalia to secure victory.
He emphasised that there will be no shortages of any items required for an effective campaign.
The President said that Ministers, alkalos, and chiefs will participate in campaigning for his bid. He also mentioned that several individuals have promised to contribute financially to the campaign.
He said even the Minister for Justice will take part in campaigning for the National People’s Party (NPP) in the next presidential election.
Besides, this approach may indicate a strategic effort to build a strong campaign presence and mobilise support for his re-election bid.
Henry Gomez, has praised President Adama Barrow administration's achievements and emphasised the importance of accountability within government institutions.
Gomez commends President Barrow for the remarkable development of The Gambia under his leadership.
He emphasised that any shortcomings within government institutions should be blamed on ministers and directors, rather than the president.
Gomez noted that President Barrow has laid a strong foundation for national progress and urges senior officials to uphold their responsibilities.
Dr. Ismaila Ceesay, Minister for Information, Media and Broadcasting and secretary general and party leader of Citizens Alliance (CA) has questioned the credibility of opposition parties in The Gambia. He claimed they lack policies and programs, and are primarily driven by a desire for power and privileges.
