Musa Joof, a political leader at Farafenni explained that 10, 000 people are residing in Farafenni town and the president is the only one who wins their hearts.
“The President is the only leader that helped us with rice, oil, sugar and money. Electricity was a problem for us but since his intervention, we started having electricity at all time.”
The president who is backed by 18 political parties addressed the crowd and assured them that as Gambians want peace and development, he would work on everything they demand for by 2022.
“They started fighting me since 2017 but after December 4, no one will hear the name of UDP in this country.”
Among other speakers who raised their concerns to the President were Alhagie Mustapha Dibba and Alhajie Karamo Jadama who promised the president of securing 10, 000 votes in Farafenni.
Elsewhere in Kerewan, the president had a quick meeting after the pronouncement of the passing away of an elderly person in town. He however, made a quick recap on his developmental projects and promised more to the people of Kerewan.
At Munyagen village, President Adama Barrow promised to support the village with D1 million to complete their health center.
He made this pronouncement at a rally held at Kuntair and applauded the effort of the community for taking the initiative which should be the responsibility of the state.
“Before the end of next week, I will support them with one million dalasis for their efforts and commitment to nation building.”
Saikou Manneh, NPP district chairperson urged the people to pray for a good leader while thanking the president and assured him of their continuous support.
“The president is the one that open the arena for inclusive and enabling environment for everyone to have the courage to contest.”
Hon Salifu Jawo of Jokadou said that since the president was elected in office, no one cried because he continues to promote peace and tranquility in the country. He added that they have seen what the president has done for the people, ranging from road construction, electricity and more.
“I promised you that the people of Jokadou will vote you but we want you to help us with roads. Since the wind storm hit the country, the NAMs have benefitted from 12 boreholes and solar panels, which will be distributed during the campaign period.”
