Gambia confirms 2 new covid-19 cases

Dr. Mustapha Bittaye, the acting director of Health Services has confirmed to The Point the registration of two new cases of covid-19 in The Gambia.
He was apprehended at Junction Ba, Sabiji on Tuesday 1 February 2022 with 10 stones and six pieces of suspected hashish.
On 1 February 2022, Basiru Saine, a 21-year-old was also arrested at Mandinaba Checkpoint while onboard a commercial vehicle. He was clutched with 21 stones of suspected hashish. The said suspected hashish were placed in white socks and concealed in his pants.
They are both in custody while investigations continue.

Muhammed Camara, alias Topsater, Omar Jeng, Musa Jallow and Zoo Lion were alleged before Principal Magistrate Isatou Janneh-Njie of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court to have tied up and stabbed Derick John Greening, a white man, repeatedly after breaking into his house.
