"The Caliph waited for 15 to 20 minutes, following the advice of the commander and the captain of the gendarmerie, before attempting to go to his home. Unfortunately, he had barely started the journey when individuals who had come out of the local mosque began to throw stones at his car and the convoy that accompanied him.
“In this act of violence, “several people were seriously injured and two died tragically,” reported the same source.
The damage to the vehicles of the Caliph and his entourage was significant, testifying to the violence of the attack.
