Two arraigned for alleged criminal trespass

A case of criminal trespass was recently preferred against Ousman Badjie and Bakary Badjie before the Brikama Magistrates' Court, presided over by Principal Magistrate Abeke.

Both pleaded not guilty of the charge and were each granted court bail of D5,000 with two Gambian sureties each.

According to the charge sheet, on 21 April 2011, at Bunjulinding Village, Kombo North district, West Coast Region, the accused persons, Ousman Badjie and Bakary Badjie, entered into the farmland of one Lamin Jarju, alias Rongo, to intimidate, annoy or insult him.

The case was then adjourned till 24 May 2011.
