TC
United have been crowned champions of the 2019 Tujereng Sports Development
Organization (TSDO) Nawettan league trophy.
They
beat Estate FC 1-0 in a keenly contested final, played at the Tujereng football
field on Saturday. The final attracted football enthusiasts from Tujereng and
its satellite villages.
Both
sides made astonishing start to the game and created several goal scoring
opportunities but they failed to utilize on them thus the first half ended in a
goalless.
TC
United opened the scores through Meen Faal in the 67th minute of the second
half, which eventually proved to be the winner for his side.
As
champions, TC United went home with a giant trophy and cash prize of D12, 000
while Estate FC received D10, 000 as the runners-up.
Meanwhile,
the 2019 Tujereng knockout final is slated for this Sunday, at the Tujereng
football field at 4.30pm.
