Serrekunda
West super nawettan team, Tuesday defeated Manjai 4-3 on penalties after the
regular time ended goalless in the semifinal match played at the Serrekunda
East Mini Stadium to reach the final of the 2019 Africell-sponsored super
nawettan.
The
West and Manjai boys drew in the group phase of the tournament prior to their
semifinal meeting for a place in the final. But the regulation time failed to
produce a winner.
This pushed the game into a post-match penalty
shootout, which ended 4-3 in favour of Serrekunda West.
The
West boys will now play against Brikama or Kombo East in the final set for this
weekend after winning their semifinal tie.
