A seven-year-old girl, Ida Jobe, has since last Tuesday gone missing after leaving home at Bijilo to watch a famous Tele-novel television series, duped Preta that is shown by the Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS).
The missing girl was said to be last seen on Tuesday 19th January 2009, "when she was with a collection of some little girls," says her uncle Gibou Sohna.
"I drove her home but at her arrival at home she could not meet her parents at the house, who at that time were believed to be attending a naming ceremony," he said.
According to Mr. Sohna, the matter has since been reported to Burusubi Police Station. However, he said under the instructions of Burusubi Police "we are advised to further report the case to Manjai Police Station, Bakoteh Police Station, Kairaba Police Station and Serrekunda Police Station," Mr. Sohna remarked.
According to report, "at the time of leaving home the said girl was said to put on a violent skirt, red shirt and bare footed."
She is reported to be fair in complexion, slim and with nibbling eyes.
