Sang Ndong unveils squad for Zambia friendly, AFCON Qualifiers against S/Africa

Sang Ndong, head coach of the Gambia National team, on Friday named his 24-man squad to clash with Zambia in an international friendly set for today, Monday 30 May 2016, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The friendly is set to prepare the squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at home to South Africa on 4 June 2016, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Coach Sang unveiled his squad during a press briefing held the Gambia Football Federation Secretariat in Kanifing layout.

Sang Ndong said twenty-four players were invited for the Zambia clash, adding that twelve players scouted from the domestic league, five players from the Senegalese league and seven from Abroad.

The invited players for Zambia and South Africa game are as follows: goalkeepers- Alagie Modou Jobe, Alagie Nyabally and Christoph Allen.

The defenders are Bubacarr Sanneh, Omar Colley, Gregory Sambou, Matarr Ceesay, Musa Yaffa, Alieu Jatta, Mass Manga and Nuha Barrow.

The midfielders are Kabba Sambou, Sainey Sambou, Bully Drammeh, Muhammed Conteh, Lamin Chatty, Bubacarr Steve Trawally, Yusupha Njie and Bakary Njie.

Strikers are Lamin Jallow, Emil Sambou, Mamadi Ngum, Pa Amat Dibba and Modou Secka Barrow.
