New chair for King Fahad Mosque

This paper has been reliably informed that there are changes in the management committee of King Fahad Mosque in Banjul.

At a meeting held on Sunday 10th January 2010, Alhagi Mustapha Ngum was unanimously elected as Chairman of the mosque, while Alhagi Mustapha Njie of Taf Holding was elected the Vice-Chairman.

The following people were also elected to serve in the committee: Lawyer Edi Sissoho as Treasurer, Alhagi Masamba Jobe Assistant Treasurer, Alhagie Abdoulie Jallow, Assistant Secretary, and Alhagie Sulayman Samba remains Secretary of the committee.

Meanwhile, when contacted on the phone yesterday, the Chairman of the committee confirmed the story as true, but declined to make further comment.
