Men arraigned for possessing housebreaking implement

Alhagie Jagne and Sait Njie were recently arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with having in possession housebreaking implement.

Both men denied the charge and were each granted court bail of D50, 000 with a Gambian surety who must deposit an ID card.

According to the particulars of offence, on 22 October 2011, at Serrekunda, in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused persons, Alhagie Jagne and Sait Njie, allegedly had in their possession an iron cutter, which they could not give a proper account of or reason for having such an implement in their possession.
