Libyan Local Council in The Gambia under the auspices of the Libyan National Transitional Council has sent a congratulatory message to Gambian leader Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh on his victory in the just-concluded presidential election.
In their message addressed to the Gambian leader, the Local Council said: “We the members of the Libyan Local Council which is founded by the Libyan citizens and investors in your noble country-The Gambia hereby congratulate you and the Gambian people at large.”
Meanwhile, the head of the Libyan Local Council, Majdi Atlob, took the opportunity on behalf of the leader of the Libyan National Transitional Council Mustapha Abdul Jalil, to reassure the Gambian leader and the entire Gambian people of their cooperation.
“We pray to the Almighty Allah to guide and shower you with success towards your endeavours,” Atlob said of President Jammeh.
