Kombo South District tourney quarterfinals update

Berending on Saturday shared points with Nyofelleh in the first leg tie of the quarterfinal of the 2015 Kombo South District football tournament played at the Berending football field.

Berending finished top spot in their group B with 12 points in six games and are also unbeaten in the first round prior to their quarterfinal clash with Nyofelleh.

Nyofelleh finished third spot in group A with 7 points in six games three points behind Group A table toppers Mamuda, who have bagged 10 points in six games prior to their first leg quarterfinal tie against Berending.

Both sides settle for a 1-all draw in the first leg. Nyofelleh will now host Berending in the second leg.

Nyofelleh now need only a goalless draw against Berending in the second leg tie to advance to the semifinal following their 1-1 draw with Black and White boys at the weekend.

Berending need to produce a win or 2-2 draw against Nyofelleh to fancy their chances of qualifying for the semifinal following their 1-1 draw with Dunes boys in the first leg tie at the weekend.

The tournament is organised by Kombo South District Sports Committee under the chairmanship of Buba Bada Bojang, meant to nurture, groom and develop young talents in the district.
