It was not an easy road to the league title as both sides launched series of assaults in front of each other’s goal mouth but it was Kanifing United who were able to utilize their opportunities.
They opened the scores through wizard winger Abdoulie Jallow in the 7th minute of the game to give the Kanifing-based side the lead, which eventually proved to be the winner.
Old Jeshwang fought hard for an equalizer and created some goal-scoring chances but could not make any goal out of it, thus the game ended 1-0 in favour of Kanifing United.
As champions, Kanifing United walked away with a giant trophy and a cash prize of D50,000, whilst Old Jeshwang received D30,000 as runners-up.
