GFF/FIFA performance programme under way

The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) yesterday Monday kicked off a one-week performance programme with the world football governing body, FIFA, at its secretariat in Kanifing.

The programme places place from 16th to 21st March 2015, and is a FIFA football management programme designed to help accelerate the management profile of the member associations in tandem with best practices, said a GFF media release. The programme is also meant to help the GFF bridge the management gaps of all stakeholders, it added.

The FIFA delegation in the country forthe programme includes Staerk Klaus Guenter, a FIFA technical officer, Ian Riley responsible for communications and marketing, Francois Bohe, a FIFA official and Sampon Kablan a development officer for Africa.

The delegation will meet all relevant stakeholders in Gambian football, including GFF officials and staff of the GFF secretariat and other stakeholders including the media, sponsors, football clubs, regional associations and government authorities, the release concluded.
