Gamcel, a leading GSM company in the country has inaugurated five of its GSM network coverage areas in the provinces at the just ended countrywide tour with the Gamcel's goodwill Ambassador, Jaliba Kuyateh.
This, according to Gamcel's Marketing Officer, Mr. Lamin Fofana, who spoke in an interview with this reporter, was inaugurated in Baja-Kunda, Kumbija, Kalagi, Bati-Ndarr and Salikene.
He disclosed that during the tour, they had the opportunity to visit other towns like Farafenni, Kaur, Basse Njaba Kunda and Soma in order to have dialogue with Gamcel's existing customers in those towns.
He said the tour was accompanied by live performances by Jaliba Kuyateh in those villages and towns, to promote the good services Gamcel is offering to its customers around the country. He added that they had distributed Gamcel Sim cards and T-shirts to those who welcomed them as a sign of appreciation.
Mr. Fofana added that Jaliba Kuyateh held a series of free shows during the tour. He said that plans were also in the offing to tour Gamcel new sites in and around the Kombos, namely Basori, Bundung Borehole, Kabafita and Jambur. He said the team will also visit towns, such as Brufut, Bakau and Gunjur. He expressed delight at the warm welcome accorded them during the tour.
He also thanked their goodwill Ambassador, Jaliba Kuyateh for his efforts in promoting Gamcel, describing him as a good citizen who has done a lot for his country.
The Gamcel's entourage included Mrs. Ramou Nyass, Senior Manager Marketing and other officials.
