The Gambia
Weightlifting, Powerlifting and Bodybuilding Federation (GWPBF) has called on
all gym managers to close all facilities under their purview with immediate
effect.
The decision
is in view of the outbreak of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) and the declaration
made by the central government to suspend any form of public gathering as a
measure to stop the deadly virus from spreading.
On behalf of
the National Sports Council, the GWPBF encouraged members of gym sporting
facilities to adhere to the preventive measures as recommended by the Ministry
of Health and WHO.
