"Dear Mr. President, Dear Friend,

On the occasion of your re-election to the presidency of The Gambia Football Association ( GFA) during its congress held at the National Technical Training Centre in Yundum on 31 December 2009, I would like to extend  to you my deepest congratulations as well as my best wishes of success at the helm of the Gambia football for the next four years.

This unopposed re-election with the record support of  fifty-three out of the fifty-nine affiliated clubs members of the GFA congress confirms the trust bestowed in your person as well as the encouragement to pursue the progress achieved in the past years.

I took note of your strategy of the period 2010-2014 regarding the international participation of Gambian football national teams and clubs, the support to women’s football, the project to have more courses organized in Gambia and including your call to your Government to build three modern stadiums in the country.

Please receive my congratulations for this programme and convey my congratulations to your colleagues elected and re-elected with you to the various positions of the GFA Executive Board.

Looking forward to meeting with you soon in Luanda during the CAF General Assembly, I remain

Yours sincerely,

Joseph S Blatter
