Continuing his Cabinet appointments, President Jammeh has appointed Ms Fatou Gaye as the new minister of Forestry and the Environment.
She replaced Jatto Sillah, who held the post in the former cabinet.
Before her appointment, Ms Gaye was a senior climate officer and the gender focal point at the Ministry of Forestry and the Environment, which she joined in 2008.
Ms Fatou Gaye also worked for many years with the Department of Livestock Services, Abuko, where she rose to the position of principal livestock officer.
President Jammeh also re-appointed Mrs. Fatou Lamin Faye and Ms Teneng Ba-Jaiteh, who were retained as minister of Basic and Secondary Education and deputy minister of Petroleum respectively.
