The Minister of Energy, Sira Wally Ndow on Tuesday embarked on a daylong tentative tour of 12 NAWEC facilities in the Greater Banjul and Brikama Areas.
Speaking to reporters at the end of the tour, Energy Minister Ndow said the purpose of the tour is to acquaint herself with the problems of the existing facilities.
She also expressed delight at the development and improvement of the facilities, adding that with the support of the public, NAWEC will meet its objectives.
According to her, government will never stop thinking of developments of the country.
"We will continue working on the electrification of the country. There are also plans for wind and solar energy," she disclosed.
The Managing Director of NAWEC, Abdou Jobe and other senior officials of her ministry and NAWEC accompanied energy Minister Wally Ndow.
