Eight Belgian Students Complete Studies in the Gambia

Eight Belgian students residing in Gunjur, Kombo South has completed a month long teaching practice in the Gambia, making it the third batch of students from Erasmus Hogeschool in Brussel since 2007.

Speaking at a farewell ceremony, Mr Ousman Malafi Jammeh, a member of the working group expressed delight on the success made by students during the course of their studies in the Gambia. He described them as hard working, dedicated and committed students who always strive hard to do as expected of them. Mr Jammeh urged the students to keep up the momentum and serve their people back home when they complete their studies.

Also speaking earlier, Mr Momodu Tussa Jatta, the chairman of the working committee expressed optimism that the link between Schools in Gunjur and Erasmus Hogeschool in Belgium will grow from strength to strength.

For Mr Bojang, the students are not just friends to the Belgians, but also as relatives and family members. He thanked them for their support to Gunjur and the Gambia at large.

Other speakers include Mr Alhagie Jammeh, Mr Ousman Sandang Bojang and Mrs Mariatou Darboe Manneh all of the working committee. Miss Aaricia Danschutter, a student from Belgium gave the vote of thanks.

Meanwhile, each student was issued a certificate of recommendation for their excellent service delivery in Gambia.
