Goals in each half from Shelton 23rd and Saeternes in the 76th minute ensured maximum three points and a boost for Valerenga title challenge.
Despite leveling the scores through Torp, a minute before half time, Kongsvinger failed to contain title challengers Valerenga at 19 points and 4th position in the standing.
