City Limits Radio Station will launch a new sports programme, called Indept Sports Programme on Monday 5th April, 2010, starting from 6.30-8pm.
Pa Modou Faal, a highly-experienced sports journalist at the Point Newspaper has once again been honoured with another leadership role as he is set to lead the new sports team of City Limits Radio Station to what promises to be an exciting sports programme, which will be aired live on City Limits every Monday and Thursday from 6.30-8pm.
Faal who doubles as a health columnist at the Point Newspaper would be assisted by colleagues from Today and Sports Digest Newspapers in the names of Sang Mendy and Fatoumatta Saho, as well as Patrick Yaboah, who works with the City Limits Radio Station.
The programmes, according to Faal, will not only be limited to one aspect of sports but will touch on all areas of sports, especially in the area of grassroots level.
The launch of this new sports programme could also serve as a turning moment of sports in City Limits after several months without sports journalists following the departure of the Veteran sports presenter, Moses Nden last year.
It is also expected to present the new sports crew the unique opportunity to introduce another sports programme, to be named Sunu sports, to be aired every Thursday from 6.30-8pm.
Faal took the opportunity to call on all stakeholders to rally behind the team in a bid to contribute their quota to the promotion and development of sports in the country.
He further thanked the Managing Director of the Point Newspaper, Pap Saine for linking him with the City Limit management. Faal who spent many years working as a sports journalist further used the platform to thank the entire management and staff of KWT for their continuous support during his time with them.
He was however full of praises for the sports editor of KWT Radio Station Sarra Camara, whom he spent several years working with at the sports department of KWT, describing him as a great sports personality.
