In
further consultation with its legal counsel and other legal experts, the
Independent Electoral Commission [IEC] has come to the decision that it will no
longer conduct the said by-election, a statement by the IEC sent to this paper
yesterday said.
“Any
convenience caused is deeply regretted,” it concluded.
