According to the particulars of offence, the accused, Siaka Sanyang, on 2 May 2015, at Old Yundum village in Kombo North of the West Coast Region, stole one mobile phone marked Samsumg valued at D6,000, the property of one Amadou Jallow.
When the charge was read to him in the local language he claimed to have understood, he pleaded not guilty.
Meanwhile, he was remanded in custody at the Mile 2 State Central Prisons.
The matter was adjourned to 23 June 2015, for hearing.
