A2 nominates in Linkage Award for ‘Africa Best Dancehall Artist’

A2, Capsi D Fulani King, Gambia’s Dancehall sensational has been nominated in the category of ‘Africa best dancehall artist’ in the Linkage Award in United States.

A2, who won Regae Dancehall artist of 2016 in the Wa Sah Halat Music Awards, is nominated alongside Bobi Wine of Uganda, Gupsy Warrior of Zimbabwe, Stone Bwoy of Ghana, Frankie Dee of Kenya and AK Songstress of Ghana are the nominees vying in for this magnificent award.  

“Gambian dancehall artist A2 the Capsi D Fulani Jallow nominated Africa’s best dancehall artist. Please vote for him http://www.linkageawardz.com/vote/ please vote for Gambia Tick A2 for Africa best Dancehall Artist, Gambia Stand Up,”  Mustapha Jallow, alias Mustik a promoter of A2.

He urged all Gambians to vote for A2 because if he wins that means the whole Gambia wins as he is representing the Gambian flag.

About A2

Born Ebrima Jallow on 5 December 1994, A2 Di Fulani is a Gambian reggae and dancehall artist whose music career took off in 2013.

His maiden release was a single entitled ‘All Over Me’. The song was recorded at Stylzz Records. His second single entitled ‘Changes’ was recorded at Shyboy Records.

In 2015, he released singles like ‘Wait 4 U’, ‘Next To Me’ and ‘Gal Come Wine’. Shortly afterwards he released an EP titled ‘Step In’ and embarked on a nationwide tour to launch promote his music.

He was one of the youngest reggae and dancehall artists to make debut performances at the 2016 Kunda Festival.

In 2016, he release and launched his debut Mixtape entitled “Mixed Feeling” comprised of 21 tracks recorded at Sylzz Records and supported by Shyboy entertainment.

The event was presents by Stylzz Entertainment and promotes by Sticky B. Promotion, a promotional firm based in Brikama.

On 30th December, 2016 he made his debut appearance in the annual Open Mic Festival in Gambia at Independence Stadium.

A2 performance at the 9th Edition of the Open Mic Festival usually organised by Black Lynx Entertainment will feature Gambian artists onstage includes Bai Babu, ST, Gee, Royal Messenjah, Vypa, ENC, Jizzle, Lixen, Bobo Diimo, A2, Big Faa, New Era, MYK Jayda, Izzy T, Dragon Ash, Afriq Divas, Inspecta Chow Panachie to be back by Humanity Starz Band and Holy Family Band.

In April, 2017 he was awarded as Reggae Dancehall of the year by Wa Sah Halat Music Awards.
