No fewer than ten people in CRR South recently ended a two-day sensitisation workshop on beneficiaries' community management training. The project workshop was held at the Governor's Bantaba in Janjangbureh and was arranged by the Community Skills Improvement Project (CSIP).
Speaking earlier, the community development officer, Mr. Lamin Badjie, disclosed that the rational behind the training is to equip the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to sustain the project as it is about to phase out in December.According to CDO Badjie, the training is long overdue and should have come earlier but due to conditions beyond the control of the project management unit it did not. He further emphasised the importance of the training which he described as capacity building. He urged the participants to take the training seriously and try and impact the knowledge and skills gathered here on the beneficiaries in the community.
