One Ismaila Bah was on 8th September 2009, arraigned before Magistrate Babou Jobe of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court, to answer to a charge of felony and stealing.
According to the facts as narrated by the Prosecuting Officer First Class Maria, it happened on 11th August 2009 between 7 to 8a.m, at Kanifing Estate.
According to him, the accused went to one motor mechanic garage at Kanifing Estate, with the intention of stealing metal and blocks when he was seen by one Sarra Bah, the watchman of the garage.
He added that, when the accused was confronted as to what he was doing in the garage, he did not respond but instead attempted to run away.
Subsequently, he was apprehended with the help of other people.
He said the accused was later taken to Kanifing Police Station where he was cautioned and charged with the offence committed.
