Yankuba Sonko bounces back as IGP

According to reliable sources, Yankuba Sonko, the former Inspector General of Police, has been reinstated as IGP of the Gambia Police Force with effect from yesterday.

Yankuba Sonko, who served first as IGP of the Gambia Police Force from March 2010 to 2014, is one of the longest-serving Inspector General of Police.

Sources also said IGP Sonko studied law.
