According to the coach of the national team, Belgian Paul Put, his team will play against Belgian First Division teams in KV Mechelen and SP Lokeren on the 7th and 9th of September respectively after failing in his bid to tie a deal with Congo.

"On the 5th of September, all the players that I invited for the game will arrive in Brussels (Belgium)" Paul told Gambia Sports Online.

"We will have two training sessions and then take on First Division side KV Mechelen at 19:30 Belgian time [17:30 in the Gambia] and also on the 9th, we will have another game against SP. Lokeren my former team" Paul said.

The coach has also revealed to Gambia Sports that he has an agreement for a shirt sponsorship for all the national team categories and is now left with the Football Association to accept it or otherwise.

"If the GFA agrees, I have an agreement with a shirt sponsor in Belgium called 'Jartazi' for all clothes and materials, and it will be for all the national teams of the Gambia, (Senior team,- U-23, U-20, U-17 and the female national team)" Put said.

The Belgian tactician also said he had the opportunity to watch some players in action including Saihou Jagne of AIK; Assyriska's Lamin Babaye Conateh and the Djurgarden pair of Pa Dembo Touray and Kebba Ceesay and will see others in action last weekend before deciding whether to invite them.
