The criminal trial involving one Saikou Gibba could not proceed at the Bundung Magistrates' Court on 23rd September 2009, before Principal Magistrates Kayode.
When the case was called, the Defence Counsel, Assan Martin was reported to be indisposed, while the State Counsel was also absent, prompting the trial magistrate to adjourn the case to 30th September 2009.
It could be recalled that the accused Saikou Gibba was a former state witness in the 1.6m NIA case, and was later charged with giving false information and perjury.
