
Muhammed Musa Njie (Papa Njie) was on Saturday elected new president of the Gambia Basketball Federation at the association’s congress in Banjul.
Elizabeth Bahoum is the first vice-president and Ndongo Camara second vice-president.
Abdoulie Jallow was elected secretary general of the association, Andrew Jatta assistant-secretary general and Yasin Joof Jaw treasurer.
Other co-opted members are Mbahe Camara, Binneh Marong and Sandigi Pap Njie.
The new committee has therefore replaced the former executive committee headed by Mam Essa Gaye.
The congress also witnessed a donation of 9 jerseys and a basketball by Kebba Manneh, a representative of Kambengo Foundation.
